The second method is to connect a VCR player up to your computer through a VCR to USB adapter. Once again this is an easy way of converting your VHS files to DVD or digital media and follows a similar process to the first method.
For this method, you are going to need a normal VCR unit which is much easier to get than a combination unit and you’re also going to need a VCR to USB adapter which you can get on Amazon.
Next, you’re going to need a method of recording on your computer. Most computers will come with software which will allow you to do this so you don’t need anything fancy here.
All you need to do with this method is connect your VCR and computer via the USB cable and press the play button on your VCR player. As you do this then turn on your screen capture software and record to your hard drive.
When you have finished you will have a media file on your computer that is an exact copy of your VHS tape. This method is simple enough to do and it’s cheap. The only drawback is that once again it takes up so much time.

The quickest method of converting VHS to digital media is to use an online company to do it for you. Sending off your old videos to a reputable company is by far the best and most convenient way of converting your old videos so you can free up office space.
Sending your old files off to another company though can be expensive so be sure to shop around to get the best deal.
